Hello, I am Cat Stern and I am earning a business degree from Pace University with a major in Marketing and a concentration in advertising and promotion.  I am pursuing a minor in photography, which has been a passion of mine since a young age.  Being the Chief Operating Officer of the Pace University Advertising Team and landing three internships has helped me bring my coursework to life in a business professional setting.

Currently, I am interning for Major League Soccer in their Digital Properties Department. I spend time doing competitive research and creating reports on sports marketing campaigns and partnerships across all the major leagues and the main media outlets. I help build decks for client pitches by designing various advertisements in Photoshop and by using comScore data.

 

Before that, I interned as Marketing Coordinator for a social video platform company called Buzztala.  I managed their various social media outlets and created thought leadership blog posts on their company website.  I also created and implement advertisements on their Google Adwords account.  Previously, I interned at a Public Relations and Marketing firm called Light of Gold PR.  I did a variety of tasks and handled their client relations.  In addition, I wrote press releases and managed their social media accounts.  Prior to that, I interned for a jewelry company, Erica Sara Designs where I also maintained a strong social media presence and worked as an assistant.  I managed their product promotions and operated their Ecommerce software.    ​​

As Chief Operating Officer of the Pace Univeristy Advertising Team I will lead our team through the next semester as we work on our Mary Kay Case. This professional team, specifically selected by head marketing professors, will be spending the year conducting a thorough campaign for the company and we will present our research and strategy to a panel of judges in the spring.  We will be competing against other schools, the winning campaign is then used by the company.

​This website  represents my strong, independent, self-starter personality and my ability to focus on strengths to maximize outcomes in all aspects of my life.  From my past internships, my coursework, and a variety of different work experiences, I have learned the ins and outs of marketing and branding.  Being a young, lively professional, I am eager to continue to grow to reach my full potential in the marketing world.
